Our small group tour to Cuba is amazing. Here’s what it’s like to go on one of our tours to Cuba.
These Cuba Cultural tours are for all nationalities but first, a few words for U.S. citizens.
Getting to Cuba Legally if you are American
U.S. citizens must have a passport with 6 months minimum validity. They must have a “Cuban visa.” This can be purchased online or from the Cuban Embassy or consulates.
Many U.S. airlines fly to Cuba direct including American, United, Southwest, JetBlue and others from many cities in the U.S. There are many daily direct flights from Miami where flight time is less than one hour.
All U.S. citizens must select one of 12 U.S. government-approved reasons for travel to Cuba. Most choose the “Support for the Cuban People” option. This option allows for homestays/B&Bs and meals at private enterprise restaurants, both of which are common.
Table of Contents
ToggleVisitors must also engage in meaningful interaction with the Cuban people. This can be conversations with a local tour guide, meals at private restaurants, using private taxis, conversations with local artists, street vendors or artisans and the like. Plain tourism is prohibited by U.S. law.

Columbus was among the first Europeans to set eyes on Cuba. He declared it “the most beautiful land human eyes have ever beheld.” Who am I to argue with Columbus?
The capital city was originally founded in Baracoa in the far eastern part of the island but was later moved to Havana in 1519 where it remains today.
The amazing architecture spans five centuries and encompasses many different styles and periods including Colonial, Beaux Arts, Art Deco, and more. It is all quite spectacular.
